www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeNNopVwPEoi balanced my carbs but i cant get the bike to idle so i think the carbs need cleaned as you can see from the video it idles this was regardless to how hight the rpm is going to try to spray some carb cleaner to check for any air leaks on the air linkage. the bike rides not bad but my fuel economy is very poor anyone have any experience of using redex or carb cleaner without pulling the carbs off the bike.

If fuel economy is bad and idle poor, I would suspect sticking choke needles. If the choke cables or the needles in the carbs are sticky then the spring can't push the valve home when the choke is turned off and it will run rich on one or both sides.

i will give them a lube but what i did notice when balancing the carbs they get pulled downwards when turning the throttle.
i think its time to change the head to carb rubbers they might have a air leak
thanks for the advice gills it never stops with this ntv

after replacing the rocker cover gasket and cleaning the carbs and then balancing them my bike is running great.
but i have to say don't rely on carb cleaner to clean the pilot holes in the pilot jet i soaked them over night and they were still blocked next day so i had to poke them clear.
no amount of spraying carb cleaner cleared them just as well i checked.
