Ace! Fingers crossed it spins with some power. Look a LOT cleaner than the coroded one I ditched. From what I can tell, the outer ring where the three holes are looks identical to mine.

Excellent! Thanks for all the trouble you have gone to - another NTV nursed back to fully restored health, at least once I have stripped the fairing, drained the coolant and done all the fiddly spannering all over again :-)
I have paid the money into your account and sent you a PM with my postal address for the motor.
Don't forget to make a note of the postage so I can reimburse you for that as well.

OK, fan motor fitted. The CB1 wiring was essentially the same but I had to make patches for all three wires as the terminal was male and I needed female (used the old one) and the reach of the wires wasn't quite long enough. Still, a bit of soldering in the sunshine was quite pleasant. Fan works a treat! Happy bike (see pic). Just need to clean my oily handprints and grime off the chrome and tupperware and it will be almost as good as new. Attachments:

Glad you got it sorted. Bike looks nice in the sun - I've always thought that fairing suits the NTV rather nicely.

Thanks again The fairing certainly keeps the worst of the weather off. Fitted it 1000 miles after I got the bike when it was all new and shiny in 1995. I missed the barn door off the R80RT I sold to get the NTV. I don't miss the BMW's regular repair bills though.
