wow, some really nice looking first bikes from you guys!
My first was a peugeot speedfight 100 mk1 which had a 150cc kit on it.
the thing went like mad for the first few weeks, and ill never forget the look on my dads face as i overtook him in the car doing 70+mph on the way back from picking it up!
but it turned out the guy had failed to inform me of a broken exhaust mount, and eventually the bike relieved itself of the exhaust and smashed the oil pump to pieces and ended up seizing. i guess you could say this bike was where i learned 'the spanners' as it was in pieces almost every week- spent a small fortune on it and its stil eating money with my dad!
next bike was a gilera dna 125- hilarious amounts of fun gettin the knee down and had none of the usual gilera/ italian bike bugs to worry about, but some scrote did decide to steal it, and never saw it again! so went back to the ever unreliable speedfight.
Then a mate sold me his ybr 125 2006 minus a front end for £200- apart from £150 for the forks and other little bits and pieces, including MOT and tax, that bike gave me no problems whatsoever and after 10 months on that had passed my test with no lessons and no minors!still have it in the garage awaiting a tarting up and selling!
which leads us onto the aNTy- sent a message out on the local forum and a friend of a friend responded with a 1994 'P'- 33.000 on the clock (dont believe that for a second!) for £600. a little tidying up here and there, and a new starter clutch later- here we are!
