My headlamp has a rusty rear and the chrome is peeling of the reflector, so seeing that some hornets and other CBs have a more modern lighter plastic multi reflector headlamp, I am wondering if anyone has fitted one or knows what model would fit?
This type of lamp is good for HID too.
I would love a LED one but no simple option seems available and they're very expensive.

Found this: pc36 hornet upgrade
Pretty expensive, but these twin bulb lights were only 2003 -2006 so are rare as rocking horse excretement. Either way it's nice to see and we'll worth keeping the eyes open for these lamps. I am assuming it's a straight fit for the ntv as the hawk looks identical in the lighting set up. I've got a new daily 170km commute that in winter will be dark at each end so I really need to sort my lighting out.

Had the same problem with my commute, dark either side and with rubbish headlight on NTV not a nice experience.
Sorted light issue out cheaply halfords rally spec headlight bulb 80watt dip 110watt on full makes all the difference. Amazing how quickly cars bother to dip their light when lights on bike switched to full .

Is your wiring dealing with that OK, once saw a subaru which had thin wires melt them and the blocks with an 80/100. This guy's kit has a direct from battery loom with relays.
I'd be most concerned about the switch.

No so far ditch and wiring ok, but the plan in the future is to move main fuse to under the seat and change the headlight into a relay with direct feed to the battery.

That's what he's got relay triggered by wires plugged into original H4 connector.
