almost finished rebuild of reliant 850 robin engine,,head skimmed, valves reground new conrod shells and big end shells. new std piston rings,, the proof is when I run it..

Seeing your pics takes me back to my younger days playing around with A series engines in Minors. The layout of the 2 engines looks quite similar (from what I remember!)

Big bolt under the oil filter take off is the oil pressure valve, if the oil pressure is low check the ball bearing and spring for wear and sagging of the spring. The water way i was on about is on the other side of the block, did you clean it out ? Rick

yes mate cleared out as adviced.. got loads of silt out, amazed at how much,, will flush system through as well.. yes checked oil relief valve.. thanks for all your advice.. yes gills think there basically the same.. Austin, morris and mini share a lot of same parts.. will not break any speed limits,, just plod along I,m happy with that,,

front end going back on ,, Suzuki gt500 same front end refurbed, engine now finished ready go back in.. more pics by end of month,starting to come back together..

thanks dee dee . trailer back is 4ft long x 3 wide.. have had trailer cover made to fit over top.. also to upgrade from reliant robin rear dampers, to spring shocks,, motorcycle ones fit,or mini, there are also the normal long leaf springs on back..trailer will be for camping gear, shopping and general garden stuff,, not a great deal of weight carried,, yes coming along fine.. all good fun..
