i have a ntv 650 and a 600 revere and my son and i went twice to europe last year,i insure both the bikes fully comp and my son had his own fully comp insurance. took breakdown insurance as well but didnt need it. first time took the ferry from hull to belgium and had 2 weeks in belgium and france, both bikes 1600 miles never missed a beat, then when my son decided to go to aussie to work we went again, eurotunel to france then across to the vosges mountains and on into germany, then luxembourg and back though france , great camping, occasional hotel ,many wrong turns, dont use sat navs , we prefer maps, both bikes first class ,took a spare clutch and throttle cable either of which fits the other , some good friendly folk, and good laughs.now he,s in the wilds of aussie but i still ride both the bikes ,they have guts and handle real nice. revere 28k 1992 and ntv 36k 1996 fancy going again but will have to go alone,, son working in aussie now.

Sounds like you had a couple of great trips. Did you take any pictures.
Very low mileage on both bikes, they should be good for many more trips.
