Nice link to the farmyard/the valley McF, heard of it but never knew too much about it.. Ah, McF how little you know, you just haven't been reading the signs properly..... Joins the forum, posts in regular..Mmhh Fresh air, foreign Climes..ish , and lots of shopping (for t-shirts, bandanas etc) what not to love...? Don't be so selfish and book that romantic weekend break, you old romantic, get the tickets and give the lady what she really wants..... ;D But seriously, Congratulations to you both, 25 years is a remarkable achievement especially these days..... Mrs McF, I hope whatever Ian picks you enjoy it tremendously and have a wonderful day...

I misjudged the signs a few years ago.
The General said "why do we bother getting each other cards and presents?" and added "There's no need to, it's just a waste of money, we always buy what we want when we want it, so no need for presents."
So I didn't - yep, that's right, no cards, flowers, choccies. I provided nothing, nada, zilch.
Anniversary day arrived.
Frosty silence, cue tumbleweed and soft moaning wind.
"Everything alright?" I asked
"Yes, fine" (I now recognise that as a danger signal)
Eventually I got "you might have got something for me off the kids"
Aaaaargh!
The plan had always been to celebrate with a trip to Canada. I've always loved it over there since first attending a course in Ontario and several visits with work. With eldest at Uni and second offspring about to start, we've delayed that plan, so it's not as though we will be out of the Country.....

Life for us men would be so much easier if woman came equipped with some sort of translation device (sub-titling ?).
In the "hitch hiker guide to the galaxy" there's a 'babel fish' that you can put in your ear. It lives off sound waves & translated any known language to the mother tongue of it's wearer. Wouldn't this be a usefull device if it was real !!!
Ride safely

so it's not as though we will be out of the Country..... Don't even start to think about it! As for Jazz and RJ - shame on you for trying to lead him astray - he needs no encouragement thank you, so stay or I'll be taking some lessons from Hubcap and then you'll all be sorry Buzzin - nice try, but all you men need to do is LISTEN, what we girls say is always straightforward, never open to interpretation or ambiguity. Oh and another thing - we always reserve the right to change our mind, and never have to give a reason for it.

Eh? Wassit I dids this time? (I didn't say anything yet?) Understanding girls isn't so difficult as it sounds....just accept that they are not men, and that you don't understand. Then listen and watch Ow...and try letting her know how you feel, and surprise her with something nice once in a while

A ha! she meant Franklin of course! Buzzin - you're right of course, a surprise, like tickets to go to a bike Rally? As if we're all not in enough trouble - I picked my Pan up from the garage today (passed its MOT, once I'd paid £100 for a new Back Tyre (Avon Storm)) and then met up with the General at the supermarket as I needed her to carry something in the back of the car. Girl on checkout said (to me wearing my full suit, carrying helmet) "did you come on a motorbike?", she rides a Ninja and asked if I would be going to the Duncombe Park "Farmyard" rally. The General in a very firm growl voice said "No, he isn't", so I guess that's me told!

Mrs McF......i know you are saying no.... But us blokes know you really mean "ok go on then", because you love it when we take risks and go all macho and take charge..... ;D So farmyard tickets for two then... ---------------------------------------------------- McF...High five... ;D took the words right out of my mouth ..... ------------------------------------------------------------------- Btw, McF keep it quiet son, just cos you still got it... ..Not a good move getting chatted up in front of the missus, hope you told her you were a happily married man..... .. ;D ;D (Would be nice if you were actually above ground on your 26th anniversary... ) just for that, Here's a little joke just for you... Here is a thought, IF we could install men OR women with an OFF button where would YOU put it, and why...?

Btw, McF keep it quiet son, just cos you still got it... ..Not a good move getting chatted up in front of the missus, hope you told her you were a happily married man..... .. ;D ;D (Would be nice if you were actually above ground on your 26th anniversary... ) He may still have it, but only when I let him remember what it is! He is very happily married - I tell him so whenever he is home! He does worry my mother though (other than calling her "The Dragon", and buying her a broomstick). I got a lovely card on our 20th Anniversary and a message saying "many thanks for 7 wonderfully happy years" His theory is that if he put all the good bits together, it would equal 7 years. I've got my eye on him - and you lot! The General - be afraid
