Nice Bike - also like the custom seat work - Always liked the grey ones - totally the best colour of all the NTV's.

Always liked the grey ones - totally the best colour of all the NTV's. They do look smart and understated in the grey - they're also pretty rare.

She passed her Mot with only advisory note with very slight misting on left hand front fork. Bike must be ok as Mot tester wanted to buy her off me !.

I checked on VOSA for previous MOT advisories for mine and it has been coming up for the past 6 years as light misting on forks. I pulled the forks apart and truthfully I think these are the original seals with loads of cloth and stuff jammed in for good measure. When I finally got it to bits the fork oil stank and the seals look like they are made of coal, also the clips that hold the seals in were just a pile of rust on top of the seals! I would prise the fork covers just to check wether someone hasn't just shoved some rags down their!
My bike is still in loads of bits! Frame and wheels painted now, I opted not to remove the engine as the through case bolt was seized solid and I have seen some horrific pictures of people having trouble removing these. The engine is sound so I thought if it ain't broke don't fix it!
As for the comment of the MOT tester, they all say that just to make you feel good...lol

Thanks for the replies guy's. I'll check the fork seals and probably look at the engine mounting bolts etc.
