Have you seen the new Fuel with a short link pipe? There's a picture of one here on a Bros: Think it looks fab with a short silencer - really shows off the single-side swing arm, just like the original short exhaust on early Reveres/NTVs.

The "Short" Fuel does look good (as on the Bros) but it's not yet listed on the Fuel site for the NTV Revere.
Perhaps they've yet to start production for the Revere. When they do I'll certainly consider one

id of though the bro's one would fit as the engines seem to be pretty much the same or just cut down the longer link pipe that is what i would do

Fuel are currently asking for a northern Revere to help develop this link for the Revere.
Please contact Fuel direct if you are interested.

Fuel indeed do want a Revere "in the North" Louise e.mailed me back saying they would require the bike for one or possibly two days. If would be good if it had a centre stand and possibly panniers. Spoke to Louise who confirmed that it would probably be one day but if it didn't go to plan it may be two. I didn't mind how long they kept the bike and that's when it started to unravel a bit. Fuel give you the completed exhaust (which is very generous) but you have to deliver the bike yourself. I thought they may have collected it. Still having a think but don't fancy a full days hanging about in Kendal. Should things take longer than the day it would mean travelling back by train, then returning to collect the bike. Louise did explain that they were trying to fullfil customer requests but there was never going to be a big market for the exhaust. Still thinking of alternatives ATB Ray.

Well i supose they where after someone who was close enough to just get a taxi home. But i don't really think its a big deal getting the train home to be honest, like they said its never going to be a hi-demand item so you can't expect to much, if i wasn't as far south as possible i would take my bike in just so there is another exhaust available for everyone. A free exhaust for leaving your bike some place seems like a pretty good deal when you consider if you had it done at a garage you have to pay to leave your bike there I suppose it depends how much your trains will cost (if needed) to if it would be worth you doing it, might still be worth checking out trains!

Changed the Drive shaft oil today with the recommended Gear oil, the oil that came out was thick.. really thick and dark black, the new oil was a really bright almost clear liquid with a slight yellow tint, i changed it because i couldn't find any record of it ever being done! Before i started i got a new filler washer and drain washer, i would recommend this just based on the age of our bikes, unless you have changed the oil before.
What a difference! I use to get a whiny sound at low speeds and now its almost silent!

Ah yes! I did notice that and cleaned it, i think ill leave it around 500miles or so then change the oil again because the magnet was covered!
