Thought I'd share a couple of first pics of my home made radiator covers. I bought a sheet of stainless ages ago with the intention of making a new cover for my red Revere (nearing completion). When I made the cover for the red bike, it looked so good I made another for the white one.... If anyone wants to try it, it's a very simple process. Measurements of the rectangle of stainless are 303mm x 230mm. I cut it with tin snips (very easy), then simply (and gently) put the lower 10mm of the top and bottom edges in my old wooden workbench and bent it to 90 degrees to fit the curve at the top and bottom of the radiator side plastics. If I can do, literally anyone can do it

Very tidy job How easy is it top pop off with a couple of pics for a project/mod page. Looks like it should vent well enough but a temperature test run may be worth it before your next big trip. Although having seen the versions of these posted on some of the european sites. I assume it will not be a problem. The forks are looking very good; did you get them jet washed as well?

Very tidy job How easy is it top pop off with a couple of pics for a project/mod page. Few more pics attached below. 1. Cut sheet to 303mm long by 230mm wide. 2. Gently bend each long each by putting 10mm into a workbench vice (or similar) 3. Fiddle and adjust slightly to get into the radiator plastic side covers. 4. Once fitting nicely, attach one side cover to the radiator, slide in one end of the new cover, then attach the second side cover....

Very impressed with this mod thatsawkward.
Have you had any cooling problems since it was fitted ? The perforated plate would cut down on air throughput but perhaps not enough to create problems.
Did you notice any increase in operating temp?
ATB Ray.
