How about inspired colours.
The yellow wheels would be easy.
Then you could use the coloured sheet material (the names escapes me!) to lay on some blocks of colour.

Good Buy. & Good Luck. A pile of spares does seem to be the cheapest way to buy these at the moment. I guess needing a van to bring then home puts most people off.

Wow thats a bargain! It could be quite an investment if they are the stock end cans and link pipes? You know what its like, people get the bike, put aftermarket cans on and the old ones are lost/dissolve and then 20 years later everyone is paying more than the bike is worth for original cans Might be worth hanging onto them, oil them up and keep them mint then sell them in five years for ten times that!

picked up the exhausts today, they are perfect, and an absolute bargain. it's going to be fun trying to get them to fit under the reveres seat, but hey, for a tenner, it's worth a shot ;D

hi all, well, after yesterdays failure, i have decided to turn my attention to the project again for a bit. now, i do have a question. if i had a complete NTV650, and a revere 600 engine, could i plug the revere engine in, and simply start it (with crossed fingers obviously )?? mostly wondering if there are differences in the CDI, coils, wiring etc. i have the full revere loom, but as i will be using the ntv front end, it would be easier to use the ntv loom, as then the fusebox will already be moved cheers in advance, Lee

Hi Lee,
I'd not expect to find any difference in the coils etc. But await confirmation from some-one that knows...
But, my Haynes manual has the wiring diagrams for:-
NTV600-J and K models.
NTV600-M NTV650-P, S, T, and V models.
(NTV600-M, same as NTV650-P, S, T, and V models.)
Had a quick look...
I show same colour codes going to the; Ignition control unit. Regulator/ rectifier. So, the theory would hold good for me...
There's a few differences else where in diagram. (Apart from fuse box.) Ignition switch, lighting switch & passing switch. So assume that you're swapping these out too?

Lee,
Wow, went off into my own little world there, just went away with the fairies, lol.
Your swapping out the engine only... For some reason, I was looking at swapping out wiring harness.
If it were me... I'd go for it, While awaiting confirmation from some-one who'd done it, lol!
If I were you... I wouldn't trust people who've been away with the fairies!!!
Hope this is more helpful than my last reply... My apologies, DeeDee

no worries deedee, my thinking is this: i have a fully built bik, with the exception of the engine and radiator. therefore, if i drop the 600 out of its frame and bolt it into the 650 frame, would it fire up ok? i will be using ALL of the NTV wiring and switchgear. it is more to prove whether the 600 engine is ok or not, as i know for a fact that the 650 has second gear issues. if the 600 is duff, then i will stick with the 650 lump, and learn to live with the gearbox problem. shouldn't take too long to get a running bike out of it all though.

Hi Lee..... it's possible that the ignition modules have different advance curves, but i would have thought it'd run well enough for a basic health check....
