Looks like a very handy item that trangier.
List look complete to me, maybe a spare solar charger for phone would come in handy.

Are the 2x cameras so that you can take lots of photos? If you've got a Leatherman/Swiss Army Knife, then you don't need the can opener or bottle opener. If you're feeling really lightweight, then it can be your knife too!

- Side stand plate in a thicker (wooden plank) & thinner version (aluminium plate). Handy for green field sites. First camp I had to drink a can of beer before I was happy my bike would not fall over. With a side stand plate or board you can still have a beer but knowing your bike will not fall over. (p.s remember to lean it awy from your tent just in case the wind catches it!)

trangia - biggest pan, makes for a very lightweight and wind resistant stove i swear by mine Looks very nice. What sort of heat source does it use ? (which kind of fuel ?) I've been looking at this one: www.countrystore.nl/bushcraft/shop/eten/pannen-voedsel-ed/esbit-vaste-brandstofbrander.htmlIt burns on solid fuel & folding it together will put out the fire due to lack of oxygene. It packs extreme small, but I'm not convinced that it's very handy. For the near future, I think I'll keep my camping gaz burner. GvS

The Esbit seems like a handy thing.
Looks more handy then a gas stove, you should have a spare cannister with that and with the Esbit you can take a bunch of tablets with you. Pack more light with the Esbit I guess.

The base of the Trangier with the holes in forms a container into which it all packs with the frying pan as the lid. Then run a strap round the outside making it very compact.
I have never used the solid fuel burners. I think the army use them so I gues they are good.
I have had my Trangier since I was 18 and it is still as good as new. It would be interesting to compare them side by side.

I think I will go for the solid fuel burner, so we can compare it on our trip.

Good idea. I can't see us doing a great deal of cooking, I suspect more boiling of water.
It will be good to compare the 2.
I can see us having some handy posts when we get back.
