New to the board but not bikes
This project is right up my street - I have an NTV that is tatty but with a lovely engine and frame. MOT next week and once it's through I plan to start buying up bits and respraying etc.
I'm starting with clip ons because I hate the ride position anyway - It'll be a slow project but worth it.
I have a few questions for the mighty Obelisk and will probably have lots more over the coming months
The clip ons - 41mm I assume - did you have to drill to get the switchgear to take?
Also the brake hose needed to be shorter - what length did it go to in the end?
I'm itching to get started on this!! Love cafe racers and love a project.
I'll start my own thread eventually but for now I'm collecting info

Welcome to the club skulkerboyo. Your own thread is a good plan (then we can all chip in ideas ..), but collecting ideas is part of the fun

On my watch list - must say I am surprised to see clip ons priced so high
might try and get some off a bike with 41mm forks from a breaker
Got to get it throught the MOT first!

@ Obelisk - What length did the brake line need to be to fit?

Clip-ons have not been drilled...I removed the bits sticking out instead. The hose length is about 600 mm from banjo to banjo. I would advise to get clip-ons first and then measured the length you are requiring. Each setup is unique so do not rely 100% on my measurement, use it as a guideline. Hope this helps.

As I'm pretty much going straight for this look (love it!) I gotta ask
What headlight and blinker assembly have you used and where did you get the rear bit for your blinkers and licence plate etc?

2 "L" shape brackets are holding the rear light & plate holder. Will get some pics tonight.
