Can't see a great demand but why not try for member discount?

How much does a seat recovering tend to cost?

I love that seat! If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost?

£165 I think Phoenixx. Unless I have the wrong seat in mind.
Obelix, looking again I do like the finished result. Could be an idea for Kes Groovylee?
Obelix Have you simply removed the standard bars and added some clip ons under the top yoke?

Yes, I just added clip-ons under top yoke. I will make up a cover for the craddle on the top yoke. The only change required was the front brake hose, but I went with taylored length stainless braided anyway. Yes I confirm the seat was £165 (well worth it).

No problem Phoenixx, all part of the fun Interesting Obelix, Outlaw suggested this to me some time back. You have proved it was a viable idea so thanks for that. How far off the ground are you bar tops and how far behind the headlight does ths make them please. I am just trying to get an idea of the sitting position?

Will get you some dimensions tonight. But position wise this is very cafe racer ! still confortable though as the seat has been done up.

couple of dimensions! Putting a straight broomstick across the original handlebar craddle. 130mm drop and 100 mm towards rear to the end of the clip ons

Obviously for the older Reveres like ours then clipons are the answer. I have a view (though I'm not sure what the difference would be in terms of the ride geometry etc.) that we could simply lower the top yoke down the forks by an inch and attach the clipons above the yoke. Whilst that would lower the front end slightly I'm not sure there would be an adverse impact? And it may look a bit more "cafe"... For later NTVs with handlebars, there are plenty of cafe racer style bars on eBay that would be a very simple fit.... like these... www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BSA-ACE-STYLE-HANDLE-BARS-STANDARD-7-8-24-WIDE-4-DEEP-CAFE-RACER-TYPE-/300573500045?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item45fb93a28dEasy to swap back if you change your mind....
