Turning circle is the same as before without touching the tank.

Rear frame is now chopped and new rear light almost fitted. Now I have got a bit of wiring tidy up and a seat to re-trim for something like that

While the tank and air box are off, I decided to have a look at the carbs....... Some people should not be allowed near engine and I am pretty sure they call themselves mechanics. Crossthreaded, butchered, the spring is coming from a pen !!!! For those who did not get what it is, this is the 2 choke cables connection into the carbs. More parts to find......I have time then to re-jet the carb then.

Very common for those choke cable plastic screws to get stuck and then mangled...poor design along with the Carb to airbox rubber collars which are almost impossible to get at and are always seized.
I was impressed with the pen spring bodge ! But then that's the sort of thing I like a bit of lateral thinking.

I had to fit new choke cables to one not long ago and that was the worrying thing as they come seperate to the cable so I was hopping they would come out fine.
Also I like the look of the bars in the dropped postion and the new lights look good.

That's great news as they're the chaps I've decided to use for my seats! Spoke to a guy there I think called Malcolm who really knew his stuff...
