Well thought i would just write a wee note about my first ever big run since passing my test in late october and getting my revere as my first bike in november . i live just outside of ayr about 35 miles south of glasgow and love the highlands especially glencoe so after work this morning i thought f**k it it's a good day so i went to glencoe 120 ish miles up loch lomand side over rannoch moor and it was absolutely brilliant i stopped of in luss 60 miles in to the trip for a healthy lunch (pie on a roll ) then set off for glencoe spent a half hour in glencoe then fuelled up and of to the clachaig inn for a wee beer then back down to my sisters for a bbq and then home before i went i was a little nervous about the bike not making it but my god did she prove me wrong she never missed a beat even when i was doing a good bit more per hour than i should have been ;D prob being a little hard on her but she just kept going in total i did 255 miles to day and used only 22 litres of fuel roughly so i have got the bug for touring now and have every faith in my little bike which i call agnes to take me where ever i go next. ;D . Thanks for reading Jay

An excellent day out by the sounds of it
I'm familiar with the roads you took and they're excellent
an excellent start to the season and a fantastic way to celebrate your first big run.
I presume you were so excited and overawed by the days events to remember your camera? ;D

I also enjoyed the read, so thanks for the post. Pics for me too please. Sun is out and Summer is here, time to ride further I think. I run a very short commute year round but long evenings and dry roads, make me want to ride further. Currently looking forward to this years summer camp. Scotland is on my to do list, limited experience driving up to Aberdeen, so any good rides you can post and pics of places/views to see would be gratefully received by me. Thanks again fo an interesting post. Roger
