hi all, im toying with the idea of raising the back end of the ntv a little bit. anyone played around with this? any ideas?

Any reason why you would want to do this? I cannot think of one other than to change the appearance and personally, I don't think it would look very nice.
If you search through the archives, you will find someone (a portuguese member I think) who cut and reset his rear frame. Don't forget that the side panels, rear panel and seat mountings are likely to need alterations.
I doubt you will find a successful way to achieve your aim through the suspension (Longer shock or moving the top or bottom mountings).
Do also bear in mind that you will need to advise your insurers (speak to them first!), the handling is likely to suffer and you're likely to affect the resale value of your bike.
Your time would be far better spent taking her out for a few good rides and if you plenty of spare money you can always send it to me instead ;D

If you want to do it try and measure a shock of the cb900 as that is what the hawk boys fit, outlaw the techno geek,

thanks for the pictures, that looks quite tasty. im not sure what im going for yet to be honest. im just having a think about things as il be tearing the bike apart soon as it needs a touch up. outlaw, thanks for the link, very interesting.

nice one, was looking for a longer rear shock idea as i am thinking of MOTO RATTING my new NTV. (my own idea for a new type of style of bike) Have listing for longer front forks so from saturday i can start to play!
