Here we go, a video clip - first blat is with the baffle in, the second is with it removed. It's not quite as antisocial as I thought it would be with the baffle removed, however it's not under load. I'm going for a ride later when the heat has passed from the day a bit, see what it sounds like under load

Pleased you like it I enjoyed mine lots this weekend on a long run.
Using ear plugs this weekend was interesting, cutting out high pitch road noise and I feel actually accentuating the note.

Phoned Louise at Fuel this morning, couldn't get an order through the website for some reason .... ? Short round can on order, expected delivery sometime next week - woohoo! Before and after pics & videos will probably be posted up, if I can work a camera after Mrs KP smashes my fingers that is ....

Look at what just landed on my desk: containing Tasty mint cake, just what I needed with the way this morning's been going. Now to smuggle it past Mrs KP and work on getting the sincerity into "New exhaust? No, I've just polished up the old one love, honest!" Before & after photos and videos will follow. Woohoo!

Can i just ask... why did you remove the Motad Reason 1 - Rust forming round the 'Y' joint - nothing major at the moment, but it's only a matter of time. Reason 2 - The Forum discount is (so far) valid for this year only - it may be extended, but no guarantees. Reason 3 - The Moturd sat quite high next to the pillion pegs - it's already taken some rubber off a passenger's boots on one run. Reason 4 - Liked the look and sound of the Fuel since Buckiemick popped down on his last year. Reason 5 - I had the money available just now, may not be the case later on. Reason 6 - When did anyone need a reason to put new shiny things on their P&J? ;D

Initial ride report.
Quick 50 miles yesterday morning (before the deluge!) - sounded fruitier than the Moturd, but once past 35/40 mph you can't hear much more than the wind (really must lay off the root ginger!). Nice bit of popping on the overrun, and that's without removing the wee baffle ....
Performance-wise it seems to pull slightly better from low revs with less of a difference once you get up to 5,000rpm - not that there was a huge power step there in the first place, but it's more linear now. Only time will tell what effect, if any, it will have on mpg, but I'm happy enough now.
Bit of video I shot in a layby just along from Glamis Castle, didn't want to pi$$ of my neighbours revving the tits off my bike on a Sunday - sensitive to others, that's me! Something I didn't spot at the time, but you can see on the vid is a wee spurt of flame at the end of the full throttle run - not exactly full-on BSB stuff, but hey, it's a 14 year old bike designed for courier work, what do you expect?
Shot with a wee Vimeo Muvi camera, no viewfinder or anything, just wave it in the right direction and hope!
;D

Nice looking and sounding... but should you have flames coming out the back.. kinda suggests it's running a bit rich... sparking plugs black and sooty ?? how many miles do you get on a tank full before you need to switch to reserve

Nice looking and sounding... but should you have flames coming out the back.. kinda suggests it's running a bit rich... sparking plugs black and sooty ?? Plugs a lovely biscuit colour - I think the flame's from where the rev-limiter cut the sparks and dumped raw fuel into the pipe. You can hear the 'misfire' at full chat how many miles do you get on a tank full before you need to switch to reserve Usually 180-190 miles of *Cough!* 'mixed' riding.

I liked "Reason 6 - When did anyone need a reason to put new shiny things on their P&J?" and the fact I have a flaming good exhaust My Revere has done 95k and hits reserve at 130. Not that I let her, with a refill at 120.
