Bike has been stripped in preparation for a service prior to MOT on Saturday.
The thermostat housing is smashed and the whole assembly is floating around. Only kept in position by the pipes! This is the cast housing by the headstock.
Anyone have one they could part with?
Thanks WS

You might be in luck! I can have a look and think I have more than one in my parts pile. I hope to be home (near Whitby) this weekend.
Is it just the bracket that secures the housing to the frame that is broken? Or is the housing itself broken and therefore your cooling system is kaput?
If the latter, will you be able to get the MOT done?

Let's check I've got one first, then consider a few beer tokens to cover postage and it is dusty in my garage loft - gives a chap a thirst ;D

Nice! Good old tie wrap, part of the good tool box, along with Black Maskers and WD40
If it moves and it's not supposed to - Harry Black Maskers or Tie Wrap
If it doesn't move and it is supposed to - WD40
What more could you want, other than a Blacksmiths Screwdriver - precision calibrated adjustment device - looks rather like a hammer ;D
At least it's still doing its job for the cooling function though

Only limited time for a look while I have been home (still there though). At present, I have found several of the plastic pressure cap housings, but not one Thermostat Housing - I'm sure I must have at least one!
Don't let the eBay item go if you can secure it with a decent price

Im not sure its a decent price, the part is £45 new. On ebay its £25! I was hoping to pay less than £15 delivered. I might put a cheeky offer in

£45 for a new one - that's very cheap! The plastic pressure cap housing is over £80 if memory serves me right.
Always worth making a low offer - they can only say "no"; you can only go up.
A little concerned I cannot find one for my project!
