www.flickr.com/photos/roderickh/with/4351558056/Rods Bike showHi all, I have opened a flickr account and uploaded pictures of my bike. I am still having trouble getting them to appear. I have used the image tags and pasted in the url taken from the address bar on the flickr page. There doesn't seem to be any way of getting the single pic to have its own url by right clicking. I have deleted the two forward slashes at the end of the url and also put in the .jpg extension. I have then tried putting the single / in between the last [] That is the most success I have had which has left me with the icon on the post but still no pics! Does it make any difference that I have set my pictures as private on the flickr site? Help. Edited by McF to add this photo and show the location etc

Hi Rodh With special "admin" powers, I can view your post in detail it looks as though you have posted the link inside the brackets OK, but when I tried the link in my browser address bar I got an error and posted to your Flikr home page. It did allow me to view some photos including this rather smart one I got this by right clicking on your photo and selecting "copy image location", then pasting that in between the img in [] Go back to your post and select "modify". Look at the two image locations - the one you created and the one I've added, you should get an idea of how it looks. A little pushed for time now, but I hope to give a better "how to do it" later McF

Nice effort rod, and don't worry you won't be the first and certainly not the last to have a little trouble getting pictures up at first. On the old site we didn't even have the option of pics until we all got our heads together and found a way.... Set a link to you flickr, photo's at the top of post. Nice looking CBR in there that should get RJ2para drooling..... ;D as McF says click on Modify on your post to check out how things look so you can copy them yourself next time. The forum, here to help....

Hi Gents on the admin!
Thankyou. A pleasure to see my pics on the forum. I hope the pics via the link to my flickr page will be useful for anyone wanting to have a go at the pannier frames. The clearance is fine now as you can see from the pics on the page.
My old CBR was a great piece of kit. I had it three years and only let it go because it was a bit on the heavy side. I can't say I regret it but the power was sensational and solid as a rock on the road.
I will absorb the requirements for pics and try again. I am relieved to know it's not just me that has trouble!
BFN Rod

Hi rodh No problem, McF leads the line and all the members are more then happy to help each other... It is a little trial and error on the posting front, but if the admins can help 'make' what you want to show appear, then they will always try. And like you say a little check of how it looks when correctly done, can make it right for you next time.. However what goes around comes around............Then YOU have the responsibility of helping the next newbie with posting pics 'problems' this way we ALWAYS add to the group when we help others.... ;D

You keep you bikes in very good order, recorded with some very crisp pictures.
I look forward to some more shots on the road. :-)
