Dan, images as requested... As I PM'd; This 'Pannier Frame' is courtesy of Stevey... (I've just positioned it on frame for the first photograph.) If you'd like any more images, PM me angle, closeness to take etc.

beware the renntec! I tested it beyond the 2.5kg limit for several weeks, having a Givi top box attached.the renntec broke in half while i was riding in the dark, in the middle of nowhere. The good news is i had a lock wrapped around bike frame and through two holes in the case for locking my helmet inside the box, so it just dragged along behind until i noticed, then i Deployed The Gaffer Tape to get home, and all was well Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using proboards

my renntec has actually done astonishingly well. I have carried some seriously absurd loads on it for 150 mile trips, if I put the Kappa rack on as well I will leave the renntec on as well probably.
I think the problem you experienced with the top box would have been more to do with leverage, I never secure weight further than the distance that the rack extends to.
how do the panniers attatch to that kappa rack though? and what sort of panniers fit on?

Don't know, lol... But been out & had a look, then came in & had a surf! Found something with similar fitting to those on frame; www.youtube.com/watch?v=9w9biFrKUco&feature=player_detailpageI reckon:- There are guides on the base of cases which locate on; 'The two pins that're present on the base of the frame, into the slots that are found on the base of the case.' (That makes sense... As there are two pins present!) I further reckon the top of the panniers lock onto; The ear sticking out each side at the top in image... (The sticky out bit on the top of both sides of frame.) Didn't find an example of that lock type on you tube. But makes sense when I look at frames! The 'Sports Bike Shop' show it fitted out with a rack for a top box too:- www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/23321Model numbers shown as being compatible cases: - K40 - K960 - K21N & it is also shown with an indicator attachment on another page. (Searched model numbers on eBay & came up with some on auction.) BUT, please double check my findings. (It may just make sense to me.) Hope it helps.

deedee, you are spot on how it fits... it simply is how the top plate seats the top box, except on its side with single (lock) point at top. i have heard that kappa is a cheaper make of givi (made by them, slightly thinner material iirc) so may fit any givi style racks/plates...but do check before buying. on that pic of the rack it is missing 2x brackets that mount on top of wingrack and also one top plate for box to sit on. they do come up on ebay sometimes. had to buy like this for my rf as they are like gold-dust..(and cost their weight in gold ) spotted this on the bay universalwing rack + top box £30 now and 3 days to go... wingrack + boxgood luck with the hunt, the ntv does suit the top box imho..
