Just for anyone trying to solve the fan problem. The fan motor from a 90s CBR600 bolts in to the NTV fan frame with the NTV blades and the connector block switched over. Hope this helps someone!

I'm afraid you will find things very quiet here. This forum is 'pushing up the daisies, gone to meet it's maker' etc.

Evening all. I've just purchased a very well cared for NTV 650. Hopefully my visits here will be more social than seeking help!

i believe the colour codes are found on the frame, when you remove the seat

I've recently bought back my old 1998 650 NTV. It is red with a silver frame. Does anyone know where I can get the paint for the frame? Also what is it called and does it have a colour code?

I think I got it. Is the thermostat sensor cable to show coolant temperature on the gauge. Also I think I know how to debug the oil pressure sensor. Will post if I manage

I received a 96 (I think) NTV Revere in very poor condition. The previous owner said it is Mad Max style (modified horribly). I say it is pure idiotic style. Long story short (I might share some pics if ppl want), after taking it down to the last bolt, blasting, powder coating, etc; I am putting it together. Lucky me, I have a Deauville from roughly the same year as guidance. Anyhow, I am stuck at 2 things. Can anyone help? First, I have not idea what is goin in that socket (the one circled in red) Secondly, when you put on the ignition, should the oil pressure warning light turn on? When I put on the ignition, without the engine running, I get only the long beam (blue) and neutral (green) warning lights turning on. Thank you! Attachments:

Old thread alert!! lol
Update.
Still alive and still with y'all. Done many miles on the LA, currently off the road due to MOT work (fork seals done, brake pads to do also chain and sprockets and rear tyre) At the rate I'm going and the cold weather, reckon it will be back on the road by Summer.
Due to progress of arthritis in some joints, I can no longer hold big bikes up. So I am leaning towards eventually getting another outfit. I had much fun with the Reveres, to which I frequently bolted a Velorex chassis for use in the snow and ice. They were quite good, plenty of torque which used to be good for pulling chassis and the trailer full of airline baggage on many occasions. Dreaming now of a nice sidecar resto project; I already have a mate with an NTV 650, mine as good as. Watch this space lol.

Hi all Only had my Revere for about 18 months before it got stolen before Xmas. It did get recovered but was in a poor cosmetic state so didn't want it back. I think it will appear here-- www.salvagemarket.co.uk/ when the insurer is ready to auction it off, nice low millage (20K) bike which might be worth picking up for parts or rebuild Anyway, I didn't like the available options for mounting a top box when I had it so I made by own frame, which given the work involved I decided to repatriate. Its made from 8x30mm flat bar and sits in the footprint of the grabrail and has threaded mounting holes for the tail plastic and the top box plate (see the images) I appreciate it doesn't look like much as my welding is not the prettiest and I never got round to powder coating it. On the positive side you could hang the bike up by it if you ever needed to Just wondered if anyone was interested in it, more to do with seeing it get used after the effort of making it, than it being all about any beer tokens it might be worth. (I'm in Barnsley south Yorkshire) I have a couple of other bikes so I don't imagine I will get another Revere now, though I did enjoy it. Great balance of power and handling and loved the noise it made. Best wishes Walt

If you wait long enough issues will always resolve themselves: Someone stole the bike last week so we are good....
